Description:
Vanora, overall, has very elegant features. However, her experiments on her hair with a blade have left her seeming unruly and messy. Vanora's auburn hair is naturally highlighted with just the slightest streaks of brown and a few strands fall into her face to frame her eyes. Her hair falls down to her shoulders in steps that have managed to survive only because she can't reach them with her katar. She has a cute little button nose and a round face that narrows towards the chin.

Vanora has never been overzealous with her appearance, letting it remain the way it is and not messing with it. Her skin has rarely had make up on it, however, her eyes are always rimmed with slight amounts of kohl.

Vanora dresses simply since fashion and accessories have always been a luxury. She is always seen in a simple tank top hugging her upper body and she pairs this up with a either a skirt or shorts. Her feet are alway clad in a converse.

As is characteristic of her animal, Vanora is light, springy and swift. She is very slim with a figure that has yet to show any curves and the meager amounts of food that she receives at the laboratory hinder her proper growth.


Personality and Traits

Personality:
Vanora, while she is quiet, is really quite diverse when it comes to her mannerisms and clothing. She may seem awkward but she is merely very anti-social and suffers a major disconnect between what goes on in her mind and what comes out of her mouth. While interacting with other people, she is very conscious but repeatedly tells herself not to care about what others think of her.

After the experiments, Vanora became bitter and drew back even more, seemingly afraid of everything and everyone. However, while it may seem like that, this is not always the case. When fearful, Vanora will never show it, but will brazenly display her terror as a façade. She has an uncontrollable habit of putting other people's concerns below her own and while she knows that it is a detestable quality, Vanora refuses to change for anyone.

Vanora is, in a way, at conflict with herself. While her mind does every now and then suggest that it may be an after-effect of the experiments, she knows better and is aware of the fact that it is just…her. For every dilemma, Vanora draws up a mental chart of pros and cons. It is an uncontrollable quirk and she employs it in everything. Sometimes it is merely limited to things such as which side of the bed to sleep on. Or to sit or to stand. At times, Vanora does it merely to amuse herself but despite herself, she can never stop. This trait also stems from a very mild case of OCD. Most of the time, she seems like a completely normal girl but in situations of extreme emotional distress, the effects start to kick in, and in a way…she goes crazy. While this is a bit of a downside, Vanora does not let it dissuade her from any task.

Her sense of humor can be described as sarcastic, hostile and bitter. However, she does laugh a lot. Vanora to most seems psychotic for she tends to burst out laughing randomly and abruptly. But this is merely due to her habit of musing very deeply on certain ridiculous things. Despite her ability to take most things lightly, Vanora does not, in any way, brush off the experiments. While she hates the people who alienated her from everyone and every thing, a part of her mind feels that they haven’t estranged her any more than she already was. In a twisted sort of way that most people would not understand, it makes her feel self-assured.

Vanora is not and never has pondered too much about herself. Instead, she finds everything around herself a hell of a lot more interesting. It is for this reason, that if someone asked her what her favorite color was or what kind of food she liked, she would answer with a resounding ‘I don’t know’.

Background and RP Sample

History/Background:
Vanora was modified in the government research facility a month before. She was cross-bred with a gazelle and so, possesses several characteristics akin to the creature's. When formed, her body was born into the stages of adolescence and so she appears to be around 16 or 17. Vanora never protested to being kept cooped up in a cell and her feelings were always bottled deep inside her. However, in the beginning, due to hormonal changes, she did suffer from severe mood swings and lashed out several times at the guards. Other than the occasional emotional overload, Vanora has had a simple and boring enough existence at the research facility.

The morning silence hung around Aang like a mystical companion as he quietly made his way across the grounds of the Royal Palace. Even though he was tempted to wander around for a bit, he resolutely made his way to a secluded spot beside the lake where the Gaang had sometimes lounged before he had proposed to Katara and everything had become a busy haze of preparing, organizing and regretting. A small sigh slipped through Aang's lips as he crouched down beside the lake and pulled a thin stream of water out of it. Bending it into a perfect sphere, he made it hover two feet above the ground. He did the same with a chunk of earth that he pulled out of the ground, and then with air and fire. The four spheres floated like huge orbs in the air and the air bender sat cross-legged in front of them.

Placing his hands onto his knees, Aang closed his eyes and breathed out. "Forgive me, great spirits. I have done too much wrong." He said remorsefully as he bowed his head and remembered. Katara's face, alive with happiness; so blissfully unaware of what it was that was really going on in her fiancé's head. Zuko's broken expression as Aang had told him to stay away from him. The air bender was so tempted to blame the person who had spiked his drink, for all of the thoughts running through his head. To blame that person for bringing up the inevitable.

But then, hadn't the alcohol only prompted Aang to act on emotions that were already there? Wasn't it possible that he could have felt something for Zuko already? Before the incident. The air bender panicked as he wondered if he'd actually thought about his best friend in such a way, even when he had proposed to Katara. Could it be possible?

Then, the reasonable and rational part of Aang's mind butted in. He hadn't made the first move. After all, it had been Zuko who had kissed him. But he hadn't done anything to stop it. Did that make him just as guilty? And if he really was able to remember what had happened that night, maybe he hadn't been that drunk after all. But that way, had Aang taken advantage of Zuko, or Zuko of Aang?

So many questions floated around in the air bender's head; every 'maybe' seeming more probable than the last. Each question cancelling out the one before.

But there was only one way to answer them all. And that was to remember the events of that night. To think hard about who had started it. Then again, maybe that was just an excuse that his mind was using to call on the memories which he should already have buried deep in the very darkest recesses of his mind.

"Only one way to find out." Aang said begrudgingly.
